A Big Shout Out and How BMTV Began – BMTV 116

Qtour & Business Tips

First off this week we would like to say a big congratulations to Jo Williams! She has won a two-day ticket to the Qualatex World Tour on the 9th and 10th of May. There is still time to take advantage of the Early Bird discounts for the event, if you order before the 18th of April then you can save yourself around £50!

You get taught by Alberto Falcone, you get photos to use in your business and you get a goodie bag, but Greg is keen to point out that you get so much more through networking and ideas when you’re at these events. For example, Greg goes to business events all the time to “top up his motivation”. He was at one of these events and he was speaking to a man who sold diamonds and jewellery on market stalls, they were talking about getting started making videos and Greg had a candidate in mind for who he would hire as a presenter. The diamond seller told Greg to just present it himself as Greg knows the business better than anyone, he’s passionate and would make a great presenter! This is the push Greg needed to start videomaking and BMTV was born!

Easter

Just a quick reminder that we are closed from the 14th to the 17th of April 2017 for Easter. Any orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on Tuesday the 18th. We would tell you to head over the Easter section on our website to get any last-minute orders, but we are almost completely out of stock! Easter has really gone well this year.

Greg was in the post office last weekend and was asked if he wanted to buy some raffle tickets, he did and was lucky enough to win a giant basket of Easter Eggs! This got him thinking about two things, the first is that how much better the basket looked with cellophane on it (which we sell by the way). The second thing was that the bow didn’t look very good and on closer inspection, it was discovered that the bow was in fact a pull bow that someone had tied manually! Maybe people don’t know how to use pullbows so we thought we’d give a quick demo.

Pull bows are two thick ribbons that are attached together with two smaller ribbons in-between. You hold onto the thick ribbon and pull the smaller ones and you get a nice-looking bow really quickly!

A big thank you

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone that has commented and asked questions on our YouTube videos. BMTV wouldn’t be what it is if there wasn’t and audience behind it! Particularly the regular contributors, so we would like to thank the following people by name!

  • Heavens Scent Balloons & Flowers
  • Clare Goble
  • Leonardo De Marco
  • Party Inspirations
  • MixinMagic
  • Mike Hurst
  • Keith Middleton
  • SCFPainting
  • The Thirty-Something Mum
  • Mrscreative47
  • Lee Reilly

    THANK YOU

We think it’s fantastic that everyone has been helping each other out in the comments, getting involved and engaging with BMTV, thank you all.

Another person we want to thank it Alex from Lava Balloons up in Glasgow. She has been inspired by some of the designs on BMTV and made them her own. The first comes from watching Mike Hurst from Reds and the second comes from watching the Sue Bowler woodland video. We think they’re great and it makes us all very proud here at Balloon Market.

    LIVE

Greg did an Instagram live, a Facebook live and a YouTube live to say that we have the 3ft clear balloons back in stock! Anything that we need to communicate quickly we will just use the live services from now on. It’s just so quick for Greg to grab his phone and talk for a few minutes about something as it’s happening and get the content out there in seconds!

Why not head over to our Instagram profile, (balloon_market1) it’s full of pretty pictures of stock we get it and this new feature balled boomerang. This is where you make a short video that loops and it’s mesmerising to watch.

Thanks to everyone who responded to our other Facebook and YouTube live where we asked what colour confetti we should get in next. We think we’re going to get some more 55mm pastel colours in as a result. This also brings us onto…

    Question of the Week

How do you get your confetti into deco bubbles?
