Join us this week as Greg shocks himself setting off our new Confetti Shooters, and we get a new delivery in the form of post-boxes! So what do you do with these? Often when people get married these days, they’ve already been living together for a while so will have their plates, cutlery, and other things traditionally given as wedding presents. Therefore, they might ask for money. Of course, it’s not wise to leave money lying around (even at a wedding!) so people hire out these post-boxes for guests to put envelopes of money inside. It comes with a clasp and padlock for security, and is made of metal so these post-boxes are hard wearing. If you are a wedding decorator you could hire this out for £100 a time so it will pay for itself in just a few uses!

We also have a selection of new balloon and party products that are a little bit different: First up are our large Confetti Shooters from Henbrant. We used to stock smaller spring-loaded party poppers, but these have been discontinued so we’ve moved to the larger, more weighty shooters. These are powered by compressed gas and do let off a bit of a bang, so we recommend you use these outdoors! Watch to the end of the video to see the look on Greg’s face when he sets one off! You can buy these singularly if you only need a few, or in boxes of 24 if you want to save a bit of money with a bulk purchase.

We have boxes of foil blowouts now in stock; these are the more traditional noisy ones as opposed to the “parent-friendly blowouts” that we’ve had previously. We sell these in tubs of 72, so enough to kit out a whole party. Alternatively, they’re great for adding to goodie bags as party favours.

Have you heard of Henry Hugglemonster? We hadn’t, but a customer asked if we had any balloons featuring Henry, so we had a look. Luckily, Amscan did stock them so we got some in! Also new in are the Comic Foil balloon with comic-book style words such as BOOM and POW written across it. One for the superhero fans out there!

We’ve also had more Banner Balloons arrive with us; these Quicklink balloons are supplied in a retail pack for you to put on a peg in a shop. They contain 10 Quicklink balloons and two sticky tabs to attach the balloons to walls or ceilings. The small price tag and handy package makes these great for customers who only want a few balloons to decorate a party. New banner balloon designs in this week feature such favourites as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Disney Princesses and of course Frozen.

We have been selling the Northstar Air-Fill Microfoil balloons for a while now, and they are proving to be a success. We have had requests to stock the Microfoils in the packaging for retailers to sell in their shops. The packaged foils include an inflating straw, which doubles as a balloon stick, making these perfect for customers to pick up and inflate themselves. We’re currently in the process of moving all our Air-fill Northstar range to the packaged editions, so keep an eye on the air-fill section!

Finally, those of you that are fans of PayPal will be pleased to hear that we are now accepting PayPal payments on our website. Just select ‘PayPal’ as you go through checkout as Normal, it is exactly the same as paying with a card and you will still receive your VAT Invoice.
