This week on BMTV 211 Greg talks about the exciting new Clearz balloons which are being launched by Anagram. He also talks about our upcoming training courses and two new courses we have added – Lights, Balloons, Action! and a course with Chris Adamo, as part of his UK & Ireland Tour 2019.

Firstly, a big thank you to Mike from Red’s for coming to visit to film last week’s BMTV on Adding Value to your Designs where he showed us one air-filled design and one helium filled. Secondly a thank you needs to go to Chris Horne for the Organics training course he ran on 24th January, which was the course postponed from the end of last year.

Everyone who attends the training course receives a goody bag and those who attended the Organics training course got one of the new Clearz balloons from Anagram, which Chris kindly gave everyone. The new Clearz balloons are like deco bubbles or aqua balloons. Each Clearz has a valve but this valve can be removed if you want to be able to put things inside the balloon.

Greg shows a tip from Chris on how to remove the valve easily. If you inflate the balloon slightly and then take some scissors and cut across just below where it has been heat-sealed. You then put a small amount of pressure on the balloon, so the remaining part of the valve shoots out the balloon! You can then push out the remaining air and use a balloon stretching tool and/or funnel to put in feathers, confetti or other balloons.

They are very clear and come in one size (18 inch) but can be inflated to various sizes. Colours available are plain (crystal), yellow, orange, light pink, dark pink and blue. If air-filled they will last as long as any other air-filled balloon. If helium filled, they will last for roughly 8-10 days, depending on what size they are inflated to. The coloured Clearz will be available in March and the clear ones in April.

There will be more training courses coming up throughout the year with Chris Horne – once we have dates, we will let you know! We have another course just announced with Mike and Natalie Saunders called Lights, Balloons, Action! The training course is all about using lights and lighting in your balloon structures, centrepieces and sculptures. This course will be on Tuesday 19th March 2019 at our usual training venue Testwood Stadium, just around the corner from our offices. You can find out more details here!

There is also a second course which we have added which is with Chris Adamo and is part of his UK and Ireland Tour. This day will be full of tips and tricks and hands on opportunities with Chris himself. You will also be able to ask him questions on the day.
