Picture this – you’re at a venue with a very high ceiling. You inflate your balloon with helium and you accidentally let go… nooooo!

You may think to yourself ‘well, it’s stuck there now!’ but that may mean an unhappy customer and an unhappy venue, and we don’t want that! Read on for a great tip on how to get those hard to reach balloons back in your hands.

You will need:

  • 1 x 11” latex balloon (or any spare balloon you have that floats!)
  • A long piece of ribbon
  • Sellotape or double-sided tape
  • Helium
  • Inflate your latex balloon and tie on the end of the ribbon.
Take a 2-3” piece of Sellotape and roll it up so that the sticky side is on the outside. Stick this on the top of the balloon and repeat with a few more pieces of tape so you have a large sticky area on the balloon.

Keeping a grip on the ribbon, slowly feed the balloon up towards the stuck balloon. As you get close, you can move the ribbon around to get the balloon in position and then feed the ribbon up a little bit more and stick the balloons together.

You can then just pull the balloons down! Easy-peasy!

Please let us know if this method works for you or if you have any other way of doing this, we always love to hear your thoughts!
