This time on BMTV we have a classic design that is very saleable! We were lucky enough to be joined by Doctor Bob from Doctor Bob’s Balloons Unlimited and he showed us how to create a rose gold number design that’s air-filled.

To start with, Bob creates a Rose Gold (11 inch sized to 9 inch) and Ivory (11 inch sized to 7 inch) base with a sand weight tied into the bottom. He adds a 5-inch cluster sized to 4.5 inch to the top and you’ve got a rugged base for your decoration.

Next is the numbers, Bob is using rose gold 34-inch foil numbers for a 21st birthday. As the number 2 and 1 are supplied separately, Bob needs to attach them together. He marks where he wants them to go and creates attachment points. To do this he rolls a 260Q balloon and sticks it on using a piece of stretchy balloon tape, he then creates a H shape using two more pieces to make a super-secure attachment point. He does this for all 4 points he wants to attach the two balloons together and two more when the number will attach into the base. You then need to tie the two numbers together, leaving a bit of room to attach a couple of 5-inch pearl ivory clusters. Next add the number to the base using the 260Qs at the bottom of the design that were created earlier. Simply wrap them around the clusters in a figure of 8. Bob sues two 260Q attachment points here as it allows him to position the design to the correct angle.

Now onto the finishing touches, Bob makes a few simple flowers out of 260Q balloons and sticks them on with balloon stretchy tape. He also adds a balloon butterfly to the design which you can find out how to make that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYtW8ic02I4
