This week we’ll start with a little story. A customer of ours rang up at 3:10 in a bit of a panic saying they needed balloons urgently and could we please get them out! We said “no problem” as our cut-off time is 3:30. This got us thinking, maybe many people don’t know when our cut-off time is. If you place your order before 3:30 we will definitely get it dispatched from our warehouse that day, if you select the Courier option this means that you will get it the following day! Also, a little secret is that we will always try to get your order out even if you place it after 3:30! It might be best to give us a ring to make sure that we can but we will always give it a try!

Honeycomb garlands

We’ve had a new range of these spectacular honeycomb garlands in so we thought we’d show them off! These can be used as garlands as we have here or they can be cut up to use as tassel tails for the larger balloons. They come in a range of colours as well; we have red/green for Christmas, gold/black/white for new year and pink/blue for babies!

Pokémon balloons!

Now do remember the “Pokémon Go” crazy that hit the world over the summer? Well now we have a Poké-range of balloons and party ware coming in with us. We only have the balloons at the moment; a Pikachu supershape, an 18-inch foil with Charizard, Pikachu and Yveltal and this giant Pokéball Orbz balloon. Great for air-filling and throwing around! That brings us onto a joke that I told Greg which made him chuckle so much he insisted on putting it this week’s show. So here we go… How do you get Pikachu on a bus… You poke-him-on. Get it?…

Other new products

We’ve got this big mum-to-be badge new into us (that’s a big badge that says mum-to-be not a big-mum badge!). We also have these horns, great for team-building in an office. Finally, we have this big bag of confetti, Greg says this looks like shredded foil balloons mixed with KitKat wrappers! It is very light and we think it is designed for making confetti balloons.

Balloon Basics training videos

You may or may not be aware of some of our other shows that we produce besides BMTV. We have several playlists on our YouTube channel containing these shows and we wanted to talk about one in particular: BMTV Balloon Basics. These are short 2-3 minute videos that we do with Mark Drury from Qualatex and are designed to provide the absolute basics that you need to know if you are in the balloon and party industry. They aren’t weekly videos but are released as and when we do them but they are a really great resource if you are just starting out.
