On BMTV this week we are joined by Mark Drury who demonstrates the Clik-Clik banana kit. This piece of kit is ideal for securing balloons and other décor from ceilings or other places that can’t be reached! Mark talks through how to use the kit, what is included, and we also test it out in the Balloon Market warehouse!

The banana kit comes in a clear and yellow edged pouch and contains an instruction booklet, a single mag mover, a pair of scissors, a reel of loop line, the banana tool, a yellow ball with ringed magnet and an additional yellow attachment for feeding through small gaps.

To use the banana kit, you will need a Mag Pole. It is also recommended that you use a multi MagMover if you need to attach two points or a sign. It’s also ideal for hanging any décor that needs two attachment points.

Firstly, you need to take the yellow ball with the ringed magnet that attaches to the ball and attach the loop line to the ringed magnet by running it through the ring. For the length of loop line needed, Mark has measured twice the distance from the ceiling to the floor. For the demonstration Mark has attached a 3ft Rose Gold latex balloon to one end of the loop line.

You need to take the mag pole with the banana tool attached and then take the yellow ball with the loop line attached and this sits over the top of the banana tool and you then feed the loop line down the side of the pole, making sure you keep a hold of it with one hand. With your other hand you can then extend the mag pole each section at a time, so the length of loop line then feeds up through your hand.

Once you have extended the pole to the height needed you can then lift (if needed) the pole up vertically and place over your beam so the yellow ball drops down the other side. You can then reduce pressure on the line you are holding and let the ball drop down. You can then remove the ball from the end of the loop line.

Mark then holds the ringed magnet end and hoists up the balloon to the desired height and position. Then feed through the other end of the loop line onto the ringed magnet and then you can secure it in place using the magnet or it can be tied in another way.

Mark then demonstrates how to use the yellow attachment for getting the line through a small gap, for example through a ringed magnet. To use this, you need to attach one end of the loop line to the end of the yellow attachment and then it sits in place in the end of the banana tool which is magnetic. The other end of the loop line is attached to the 3ft Rose Gold latex balloon.

You can then extend the mag pole like before, to the desired height and then feed the yellow attachment through the ringed magnet. You then need to give the pole a little shake, so the attachment then drops down and the line goes through the magnet. You can then pull the line and hoist up the balloon, again to the desired position and secure it in place.
