This week on BMTV Greg talks about the upcoming training courses coming up at Balloon Market – including an update on another Qualatex Fundamentals course! Greg also shows off some of our bling new products and gives an insight into the latest trends, including Space, Navy & Gold and Geometric Shapes.

Firstly, a big thank you to Doctor Bob for coming down to film with us – he showed us how to make a fun Unicorn Retail design and some great techniques! There will be more coming from Doctor Bob very, very soon! Also, a huge thank you to Sue Bowler and John Bowler who came to film recently and of course their dog Mylo who was a huge hit on our Facebook page!

We have some exciting updates on our training courses. Chris Horne will be returning twice to teach the much-requested Organic Balloon Design course. He will also be doing two new Clearz design courses as well! We are also hoping to add another Qualatex Fundamentals course to the list very soon!

Greg would also like to say a big thank you to those customers who completed our survey email which we send out once a year. It’s a chance for us to ask how we are doing and what, if anything could we do better. It’s great to receive constructive feedback about what our customers like, or dislike and what other products you would like to see us stock.

There’s lots of exciting trends around now and one of the big ones is personalisation – so adding a name for example to balloons, gifts and items such as water bottles. One of the items that’s great for this is vinyl. We have some exciting new vinyl colours and finishes, including chrome copper gold, silver and copper and some iridescent metallic colours.

We’ve also had some lovely new fun strings from Amscan and there are 18 different designs, including a unicorn design and It’s A Boy & It’s A Girl which are great for using as balloon tails instead of curling ribbon.

Another big trend is Space and we’ve had lots of exciting new space themed balloons and decorations, including some planet shaped paper lanterns and space themed candles. We have also had some other new candle designs, including footballs, pink glittery hearts, balloon shaped candles and some packs of pastel and pink and white candles.

Glitter and sparkle are also very trendy, and we have lots of great new accessories that you can add to designs including glitter craft stickers, diamond mesh and candy shimmer metallic ribbon. We have also had in some Communion accessories, including confetti and a silver glitter cake topper.

There is also a great new range of Grabo Zodiac balloons which would make a great alternative birthday balloon. They are available in a navy-blue design and a gold design which are perfect as navy and gold is a big trend currently. Geometric shapes are also popping up in lots of balloon designs, including some of the new Qualatex foil designs.
