First of all, we want to say a big thank you from Mike and Holly Forder from Creative Party. We learnt more about Creative Party including that they make their own edible cake decorations. Mike and Holly also had an argument about who was the best cook! But it was all in good fun and a really great show, click here if you’ve not seen it yet!

5k subs and Balloon Basics

Now, we are nearly at 5000 subscribers on YouTube! It seems only yesterday that we were at 1000 but we are currently on around 4950. So, if you’ve not subscribed to us just yet then head over to YouTube and help us get to 5k! Also, while you’re there you might notice our Balloon Basics series of videos. These are videos that tell you the absolute basics that you need to know if you’re in the balloon and party trade. They are really helpful starting point if you’re new to the business so check them out.

Hello From…

You may remember a couple of weeks ago, we had a “Hello From” competition. It was just a bit of fun to see where our BMTV watchers live in the world. We got people to put Hello From the UK or wherever they live in the comments section on YouTube and we have the results! In joint 4th place we have: Canada, India, Malta, Portugal, Mexico and Ireland. In Joint 3rd place we have South Africa and Finland. 2nd place is Australia and Joint first place is the UK and the USA.

Mother’s Day and Easter

The 26th March in the UK is Mother’s Day. It is only a few weeks away so we are starting to run the stock down, if you want the biggest choice then head over to balloonmarket.co.uk now and click on the Mother’s Day banner.

After Mother’s Day we have Easter Sunday on the 16th April. Easter is getting more and more popular ever year for balloons, I guess if you turn a balloon upside down you get a Easter Egg… Greg has gotten very excited about a 1kg Easter Egg he has seen on Hotel Chocolat. Even he would struggle to eat that in one go!

Unicorns and Twirlz

Unicorns are one of the biggest selling themes at the moment for us, we sell loads of balloons and party ware including this giant unicorn head shape. This goes perfectly with Amscan’s new multi-coloured Twirlz tassel tail. If you remember from the spring fair video, Chris Horne from Amscan mentioned that tassel tails are going to be big for 2017. So Amscan have released Twirlz! These are paper decorations that hang from balloons, they come in a pack that is the same size as a foil balloon and are really cost-effective. They come in blue, grey, red, primary colours and rainbow colours.

Also, unicorn themed are these ranges of partyware, one is bright and colourful, probably aimed at the younger market. And then we have the fantasy range that is perhaps more for slightly older children. Both are great ranges and are selling well!
