The time has come! The embargo on the new Star Wars balloons has lifted, and we are delighted to show you what’s on its way to us! Set for an early October release on Balloon Market, these balloons come in all shapes and sizes including standard 18-inches, Supershapes and even an Airwalker design. The Force Awakens movie is going to be huge and we’d love to give you an early introduction to some new faces in the Star Wars universe. Take it from us, you’ll be hearing about them a lot in months to come!

First up we have a new two-sided 18 inch foil, which comes in both standard and ‘Happy Birthday’ designs. One side features the film’s main protagonists, Rey and Finn. So far we only know as much about them as the film trailers have told us, but there has been plenty of speculation. It seems that Rey is a scavenger on her home planet, and Finn is a (possibly disgraced) Stormtrooper on the run. This side also features Poe, a Rebel Pilot, and the uniquely-shaped droid BB8, but unfortunately even less is known about them. We can say with confidence however that we recognise Chewbacca, who is also shown. He’s a firm favourite with us, and we’re thrilled that he’s making a comeback!

The other side features the Villains of the new film. Darth Vader has left some colossal shoes to fill and we’re hoping that new villain Kylo Ren is up to the job! He’s already caused some excitement with his new lightsaber design (seen in the film trailers) so things are looking good so far! This ‘Dark Side’ of the balloon (sorry, couldn’t resist!) displays Ren with two of the newly-designed Stormtroopers. He’s also available as an Airwalker, so you can appreciate him in all his sinister glory. From what we’ve heard, Kylo Ren idolises Darth Vader but his character is still very mysterious. We don’t even know what he looks like under the mask yet!

As mentioned earlier, we don’t know a lot about BB8 the droid but we do know that it’s a cute, funny addition to the film. As a dome-shaped head on top of a rolling ball, this little fella makes for a unique Supershape, and we can’t wait to check it out. On a similar note, we’ll also be stocking a 35 inch Supershape of Rey’s ‘Land Speeder’. This balloon will also include an additional shape attached with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens logo printed on. Exciting stuff!

It doesn’t stop there! We’re also eagerly anticipating two more Supershapes: One 22 inch hexagonal, and one 32 inch round. The hexagonal balloon follows a similar theme to the 18 inch foil, with one side showing the good guys and the other showing the villains. The former side is blue, with images of Rey, Finn and Chewbacca ready for action. The latter is red, displaying Kylo Ren in a menacing pose, flanked by his Stormtroopers. If your customers are torn between following the good side or the dark side, this will be the one for them!

Alternatively, the 32 inch round Supershape looks to be great for old-school fans waiting for the new film. One side is printed with an X-Wing fighter and two TIE Fighters, a lovely throwback to the film that started it all. The design opposite displays an epic scene of Stormtroopers in combat, which really has us excited!

Last but certainly not least comes the Force Awakens Orbz balloon! As with all Orbz, this balloon inflates into a sphere, with four sections forming the shape. As with our already-stocked Star Wars Orb, each separate section features an image of a different character. This one has BB8, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren and a Stormtrooper, and looks so good that we can’t wait to see it floating in our office!

There you have it! Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or not, your customers will be itching to get their hands on some of these, and who can blame them?
