Welcome to BMTV 25! Firstly, thank you to Nikki Thompson from Northstar balloons who came in to chat to us last week, it was really insightful to learn about Northstar’s origins and their best selling products. We have an intruder this week in the form of Jonathan the Stormtrooper, he’s the new airwalker from Amscan who was proudly guarding our front door (and scaring people as they walked in!). He measures 70 x 33 inches and is quite impressive. The warehouse team didn’t feel like he was pulling his weight however, so they put him to work in the warehouse. Here he is checking off orders.

While we’re on the subject of Star Wars, we have placed our order for the new Episode 7: The Force Awakens movie balloons, ready for when the embargo lifts in September! As soon as they are in the country, you can expect to see them in our new products category. We don’t know what the designs look like yet, but we do know that there will be an airwalker resembling the yet-unrevealed lead villain, as well as the standard 18” birthday foils and Supershape balloons.

If you’ve gone Star Wars crazy and just can’t wait for September, we have had a collection of new Star Wars balloons arrive with us this week. Some of our favourites include; a Chewbacca supershape balloon, Star Wars Yoda & Vader Quicklink balloons, and a Cubez and an Orbz balloon featuring classic characters such as Darth Vader, Princess Leia and Han Solo.

Now, picture this scenario: you’ve just placed an order with us containing all the balloons you need for the next week or so, then your customer calls you last minute to ask if they can have, for example, an extra Minnie mouse head or a minion supershape balloon. Oh no! You’ve just placed your order, and don’t want to pay extra delivery for just a few balloons! Fortunately you can add to your previous order! You can either ring us and we can sort this out over the phone, or you can do it online by selecting the “Walk In” option in checkout, and adding a comment of “please add to my previous order”. You should include the order number for your previous order (e.g. BM12345), and we will then see the note and add it to your previous order, so you don’t have to pay another delivery charge! If it’s before 1pm we can definitely get it added for same-day dispatch, after 1 o’clock, it might be best to give us a quick ring to make sure we can do it (chances are we will but it is always best to check!). It’s worth noting that adding to your parcel may push it into the next weight bracket for delivery, so you may have to pay a little bit extra for upgraded delivery. We will always get in touch if this is the case to let you know before we send it, so don’t worry! Check out our video if you want to see this tip in more detail.
