Amazing Halloween
First of all, we hope you all had an amazing Halloween and did something fun! Greg has an annual tradition where he carves pumpkins with his two daughters, so he’s decided to show the fruits of his labours! His girls helped him with most of them but did the Minion pumpkin below all by himself! If you did anything exciting over Halloween, such as party decorating, pumpkin carving or trick or treating, then send us some pictures! Just a quick note on Halloween stock: After every seasonal event we put all our surplus stock into our website’s clearance section with a healthy discount. Black Friday update!
Last week Greg spoke about Black Friday, and how last year couriers struggled to keep up with the demand for parcels. We have an update for this year though; DPD have informed us that they are getting more permanent drivers and more depot staff from now until the end of the year (their busiest period), to cope with the rise in the demand. They have also told us that they are putting more vans on the road, so hopefully parcels won’t be delayed like they were last year. Even so, we highly recommend that you place your orders as early as possible to avoid any delays, just to be safe.
Emoji balloon fun
This is our new favourite balloon in the office, and we have taken many pictures of the staff with smiley-face heads! This is of course the new Emoji balloon that has arrived with us. If you’re unfamiliar with Emojis, they are little expressive faces used in texts or on social media to reflect the writer’s mood. We think these balloons are going to be really popular as people will love to take their picture with them (like we did!). The Love Emoji is the only one available in the country at the moment, but we will be getting more in once they make it to the UK. Well be sure to let you know the moment they arrive!
Winter wonderland ideas
The new fashionable theme for Christmas this year is Winter Wonderland! This follows a snowy theme with lots of snowflakes, and some people have done some amazing things with it! Just google “Winter Wonderland theme” to get some great ideas! Amscan have brought out an impressive new Orbz balloon for the occasion; it has two clear plastic panels, two pale blue foil panels and an all-around snowflake design that makes it perfect for Winter Wonderland or Christmas in general! We also have 11 inch latex balloons from Qualatex in Clear, Robin’s Egg Blue and Wild Berry, all following a Snowflakes and Sparkles design. We also stock 3 foot balloons to match the Clear and the Blue, and a slightly different snowflake design in QuickLink balloons.
We also have an EXCLUSIVE to Balloon Market balloon in the form of 5 inch Snowflakes and Sparkles from Qualatex. A customer wanted these designs, so we asked Qualatex to make them for us and now we stock them regularly. You won’t find these anywhere else, so pick yours up here! We now stock a range of 4 inch star balloons, which make great additions to balloon decorations. You will need to heat seal these, but they are really cheap and come in multiple colours! We also stock a triple-pack of snowflake confetti for scattering onto tables; this was very popular when Frozen was massive but it will also be great for Christmas. For snowballs, you could use the Qualatex 15” white bubble balloons (this always makes Greg think of a joke that is a little bit rude!). These ‘snowballs’ are supplied in packs of 4 and have self-sealing valves so you can just inflate and go. As well as all this, we have some standard snowflake foil designs from Qualatex and Northstar to compliment your decorations. If you’re thinking of baking gingerbread this Christmas, we also have this cute snowflake cookie cutter for you!
If you’re thinking of really adding some sparkle to your balloons then try BalloonLites. These consist of a lightweight strand of LED lights that come in single or triple strands for attaching to 1 or 3 balloons respectively. There is a battery pack at the bottom that doubles as a weight, and includes the flash settings ‘Steady-On’, ‘Flicker’, and ‘Alternate’.
