Summer’s here!
Schools over, students are graduating and summer’s here! Thanking teachers and getting gifts is becoming a real thing and we have several balloons designed exactly for that purpose. We have this thank you balloon in a chalkboard design and this “Thank You Teacher” balloon. Greg’s favourite is this Owl balloon, which, isn’t specifically for teachers but it does look like a wise-old-owl!
Summer fetes are going to be happening for a while now and you know what goes great at fetes? Balloons! You could inflate these air-filled balloons really cheaply and sell them for a couple of pounds each, we have the inflate-a-fun balloons from Amscan which have licenses such as Minions and Spiderman. We also have general Micro-Foil balloons in the shape of animals from Northstar. Face paint is also a great idea and we have the range from Snazaroo including colour pots, kits and sponges to apply it with, we also have stencils for easy application of the face paints and temporary tattoos that make a great add-on. We also have these rocket balloons that could be good for letting off outdoors and no summer fete is complete without water bombs!
Phone tip
Greg has a little tip that has changed his life. Well slightly… The Balloon Market website is mobile-friendly and around half of internet traffic now is on a mobile device. Normally if you want to have a website appear on a home page on a phone you have to design an app for it. But you don’t need to with Greg’s tip of going to Balloon Market and tapping the “add to homepage” button that appears on most phone browsers. This creates a link to the website for you and all you need to do is tap the icon to be taken straight to the website!
What do you call yourself?
Greg was watching the Unpoppables on YouTube and they were calling themselves Balloon Artists. This got him thinking, can a balloon artist charge more than a balloon decorator? There is no difference the actual work that they do but do people associate decorators with DIY and think they can do it themselves whereas an artist sounds more like something that the average person can’t do? We don’t know so we’ll put it to you. Our question of the week is, what do you call yourself if you’re a balloon decorator?
