BMTV 53 – Tips on Becoming a Children’s Entertainer with Crazy M

This week we are having one of our customer chats with Children’s Entertainer Crazy M! Crazy gets her balloons from us for her balloon modelling, which she’s been doing alongside magic, discos and all-round family entertainment since 1997! Before this she was working at holiday centres, which she says is a great background for anyone thinking of getting into the industry as you learn so many different skills. This is where she learned to twist balloons, and she tells us that she has always loved performing, singing and dancing. She was even in the Halifax cross!

Anyway, back to balloon modelling. When crazy is performing at children’s parties, she will often ask the children whether they want a flower or a sword etc, but then make the balloons while the children are eating so she can keep entertaining in the meantime! She will also make the birthday child a special balloon model (such as a minion), but says you have to be careful making a spectacular balloon as all the kids will want one!

Crazy also has a website where she sells party bags (you can get your supplies from us here!), trolley bags, sweet cones and even her own DVD! She says this is a great way to market her Crazy M business. Her tip for anyone starting out in the entertainment industry (apart from “Don’t eat yellow snow”) would be to just keep going! There are a lot of people out there, but stay positive and keep doing it and believe in yourself. Crazy says that she never thinks she is the best, but always does her best and her goal is just to make people happy! We personally think she does this very well.

Now for the quick-fire questions we asked her:

Sweet or savoury? – Sweet. Crazy actually ate one of her sweet cones the other day!

Cat or dog? – Dog, although she does have a rabbit called ‘Stew’ and one called ‘Carrots’. She says she’s going to get another one and call it ‘Casserole’ but don’t worry, they all have bunny licenses.

Tea or coffee? – Coffee.

What is essential at any party? – Crazy M of course!

That’s it for this week, see you next time!
