BMTV 68 – Superheroes, Business, NABAS & BAPIA

BMTV 67 this week starts off with some good and bad news. First the bad news, BOC have raised their prices this year for helium hire, rental charges and hire of the nozzles. The good news is that we aren’t going to raise our prices! This year we have decided to absorb the cost of raising prices so you don’t have to worry about factoring in the extra cost. If you buy your helium from other suppliers, then you might find that this year we work out cheaper so head over to our website to take a look.

You may have noticed but superheroes are massive. We’ve had the Batman v Superman film out earlier this year and a new Captain America film out at the moment and there are many more films in the pipeline. The Superhero theme isn’t going to go away so if you don’t already stock the caped-crusaders then you should really consider doing so. We have 18” round foils as well as the larger air walker balloons such as Iron Man and Spider-Man balloons. We also have party supplies including the essential cups, plates, napkins and table-covers alongside more unique items like wrapping paper, bunting and banners! We have loads on offer so check out our superhero section on the website!

Now we have a little announcement to make. People often ring up to ask us business related questions. Do they need insurance, should they be VAT registered etc. We are happy to answer those questions and are launching a new BMTV Business range of videos that will cover the best practices you should adhere to when starting to set up your business. For instance, you absolutely need Employer Liability insurance if you intend to employ people. As a quick taster tip, we recommend that you sign up to NABAS or BAPIA, these are industry organisations where, in most cases, you can actually get employer and public liability insurance covered in your membership, so your effectively get it free! check out their websites.

That’s it for this week, tune in next time and thanks for subscribing!
